Eric Douglin - Founder of the World Club Basketball

WCBT History

 Eric Douglin, is the Founder and Owner of the World Club Basketball Tournament, based in East Sussex England.

He is viewed among his peers as one of England’s most proactive basketball enthusiasts and has hosted a number of international tournaments in the UK which have included teams and officials from across the globe.

Due to the successes of these international events and the large number of requests from overseas teams to compete in events organised by Douglin and his team, he decided to create a central event ‘World Club Basketball Tournament.

The first event was hosted in 2015, WCBT will see the 5th WCBT take place, hosting teams from Lithuania, Poland, USA, Denmark, England among other countries.

WCBT2018 was its 4th annual event which included teams from the USA, Poland, England, Wales and Canada.

 "I am proud to be associated with the award winning WCBT and supporting British basketball with this exciting concept. The growth is a testament to the unique ideas of the WCBT and our aims to bring the basketball world closer together.

I am really looking to the plans we have ahead,and working  with an experienced group of visionaries who are not afraid to take a risk for the good of the sport.

Las Vegas Unknown came to WCBT with an exciting array of talent, with players who have competed in leagues overseas.


LVU went away with the title defeating New York Court Kings in the Final. 

WCBT 2017 Winners ABA Toronto Knights

Albany Avenue Toronto Knights - Canada

The Albany Avenue Toronto Knights (Canada) competed in WCBT 2017 and 2016, but it was the 2017 competition they became champions. Coached by former BBL coach Sean Loucks, and including Washington Wizards NBA Summer League player Jasonn Hannibal the  Knights were one of the most popular teams to compete in WCBT.
